This is either a smallish king and a very large fieldmouse, or a normal sized king with an absolutely enormous mouse.  Or a normal sized mouse and a tiny tiny king.

Either way, the king is clearly trying to pacify the mouse with a gift.  What would a fieldmouse do with gold, frankinsence or myrrh?
